Upon returning I reopened the same dwg rotated it and scaled it with no problem. After doing all that it did not work so I closed out the dwg and walked away. After some research in the forum search it lead me to the syntax to create a tool in LT which started this thread. So next stop was to try and flatten the 3D DXF. I then went with the PDF underlay but that takes to much time to print due to the DPI when I scale it up (see printing PDF underlay thread). When I went to rotate it it would give me a view I was not looking for. One whos always up for a challenge said go ahead. This particular project our customer can only send 3D DXF file and asked if I can work with that ( i know didnt make since to me also). Then we scale and rotate to create a full size templates(some up to 24'-0 long) for our shop to use to cut down on layout time and errors. We receive DXF files from our customers like the one attached. I will go ahead and tell the whole story.
